A single Métro-Train-RER ticket covers any journey from Paris to Meudon.

Gare de Meudon — Line N

On the Transilien N line from Paris-Montparnasse. Ten to eleven minutes, roughly every fifteen minutes, all day. It stops at Vanves-Malakoff and Clamart on the way.

This is the station for Meudon town centre, which sits high on the hill. It is the fastest and most reliable route from Paris, and it is the one to recommend to a first-time visitor.

Gare de Meudon Val Fleury — RER C

In the valley, on the RER C. Around ten minutes from Invalides, with trains from Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, Musée d'Orsay and Austerlitz on the Left Bank.

This is the station for the Hangar Y, the Rodin museum (via bus 169) and the Three Ponds walk. Note that the RER C is regularly affected by summer engineering works — check before travelling in July and August.

Gare de Bellevue — Line N

One stop after Meudon on the same Line N, twelve to thirteen minutes from Montparnasse. It serves the Bellevue district on the slope above the Seine, named after Madame de Pompadour's château. Useful for the Villa André Bloc.

Trams

The T2 (Pont de Bezons – Porte de Versailles) has two stops on Meudon territory, Brimborion and Meudon-sur-Seine, along the river. Trams every four minutes at peak times. Be warned: these stops are at the bottom of the hill, and the tourist sites are at the top. It is a real climb.

The T6 (Châtillon-Montrouge – Viroflay Rive Droite) stops at Meudon-la-Forêt, which is the southern district, separate from the historic centre.

Which one should you use?

For a first visit, take Line N from Montparnasse to Meudon. It is fast, frequent, and it drops you in the town centre near the museum and the church.

If your main target is the Hangar Y or the forest, take the RER C to Meudon Val Fleury instead and pick up bus 169 or 289.
